The OFF programme of the Biennale de l’Image Possible brings together exhibitions, both large and small, which revolve around the main exhibition. To be discovered across the cultural landscape of Liège and its surroundings – stretching from Flémalle and the city centre all the way to Maastricht – these independent artistic projects enrich and complement the ‘Miroir Miroir’ programme, making BIP2026 a true celebration of the visual arts throughout the city and beyond.
Particularly resonant with this year’s theme, for example, we will have the chance to see Marnie (Simon David and Patxi Endara), who exhibited at MUTANTX in 2024, with a new mirrored video installation, *Marnie Part III: Madopar® and Ecstasy*, at Overflow; the Ghent-based photographer Annemie Augustijns and her solar mirrors will be showcased at the bonnemaison gallery (Ans); the irreplaceable Pol Piérart will be featured at LRS52; the CoolCity3000 project at New Space brings together hundreds of models constructing an imaginary city; Anne de Gelas’s sensitive portraits are on display at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Liège – ESAHR; the ‘Prisms’ from the eponymous group exhibition at La Châtaigneraie in Flémalle; at the Galerie Satellite, Clair Bravo and her exploration of queer communities in rural France; and Pierre Liebaert at the Galerie les Drapiers, who links his photographs of carnival traditions with local ritual objects, amulets and other talismans, selected from the collections of the Musée de la Vie Wallonne; …
