La Donadodoo, Patrick Corillon

Le Corridor

La Donadodoo (theatre perforrmance)

Featured Artist: Patrick Corillon

The Donadodoo can be seen as a big book of which each page – and sometimes even words – has a life of its own and occupies the space like an actor on stage. When folded, the pages leave a gap that allows the animator to be in constant visual contact with the audience. On the other side, as the machine and its performer become one, the spectators have the feeling that a strange being has come to tell them stories; this being has legs, arms and the top of a human skull, but its torso is made up of a multitude of pages featuring colourful letters that open and close like the wings of a butterfly.

Related to the theme of the BIP, the show explores the ability to put oneself in another’s shoes and see the world through their eyes. It also encourages a playful and interactive approach to reading, allowing the audience to engage with the story’s text both mentally and physically.

As part of the BIP, Le CORRIDOR presents 3 performances : on Friday 6th of November (8pm), Saturday 7th of November (8pm) and Sunday 9th of November (3pm), in French.

In parallel, workshops (in french) for school and community groups aged 10 and up are offered twice a day (morning and afternoon) ; on Monday 3rd, Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th of November.
