ART'Mosphère : "Là où le regard vacille."

Featured Artist: Bernadette TRIKI (www.triki.be)

A 360° immersive installation where mirrors, images, and sounds create a sense of visual disorientation. The experience is extended through an exhibition of artworks and a gathering space. A live, open portrait workshop invites everyone to explore the representation of self and others, extending the project into a shared creative practice.

ART’Mosphère — “Where the gaze falters” unfolds as a device in four spaces, combining immersion, exhibition, experimentation, and encounter, in direct resonance with the issues of empathy and entropy at the heart of BIP2026.

The first space offers a 360° immersive installation where mirrors, projections, and soundscapes engage the visitor in an unstable perceptual experience. The images fragment, split, and recompose. The gaze is no longer fixed: it moves between oneself and others, between recognition and alteration. The mirror ceases to be a tool of confirmation and becomes an agent of displacement.

The second space extends this journey with an exhibition of original works — drawings, paintings, volumes, blown glass — where representation unfolds in its materiality, its tensions, and its transformations.

A third space is dedicated to encounters: a place for dialogue and connection, where perceptions are confronted, nuanced, and enriched.

Finally, a fourth space, designed as a portrait studio, opens up to experimentation. The visitor becomes an actor: they explore the construction of the image, experience the gesture, and question the representation of self and other. Live demonstrations and the provision of materials activate a living and shared practice.

This project does not offer a simple immersive experience, but rather a test of the gaze in a contemporary context saturated with images. Echoing photography as a mirror of humanity, it shifts the question of the portrait towards an embodied, unstable, and relational experience.

Between fragmentation and an attempt to connect, ART’Mosphère creates a space where the image does not stabilize identity but reveals its tensions. The transition from perception to creation — from the gaze to the act — engages the visitor in an active dynamic, where empathy is not decreed but experienced.

In a world marked by polarization, the project offers not a resolution, but a coexistence of differences: a fragile, shifting balance, where looking at the other already becomes an act.
