For the exhibition « From Holland with Love », Love on the Left Bank is taken as a starting point for selecting a number of works by contemporary Dutch photographers and (video) artists about the topic of love, that mirrors the bravura of Van der Elsken as well as the various aspects related to love that he dealt with in his book: intimacy, voyeurism, sex, machismo, friendship, drugs, nightlife, etc.
