REFLETS CROISÉS is a project led by the Archipel Collective, bringing together artists who work with print and digital image techniques—screen printing, engraving, and digital creation—united around the theme “Mirror, Mirror” of the 2026 Biennale de l’Image Possible.
Through the concept of reflection, the artists explore the interplay of inversion, duplication, and transformation inherent to the printed image, producing a diverse range of printed works. Each piece functions as a projection surface where perspectives, techniques, and interpretations intersect, blurring the boundaries between original and reproduction, between the visible and the hidden.
REFLETS CROISÉS thus offers a sensitive and multifaceted mapping of the contemporary printed image, through which the collective becomes a space of resonance.
Presented by the Archipel collective, REFLETS CROISÉS is part of the 2026 Biennale de l’Image Possible and explores the metamorphoses of the image through a dialogue between traditional printing techniques and contemporary digital practices.
Drawing on the concept of the mirror, the artists examine what it means to produce, reproduce, and transform an image today. The reflection becomes a space of fertile tension: between matrix and screen, between gesture and algorithm, between memory and mutation. Far from pitting these practices against one another, the project asserts a living continuity between the historical know-how of the printed image—screen printing, engraving—and new forms of visual production.
In a context where the image circulates, multiplies, and dematerializes, REFLETS CROISÉS affirms the value of process, material, and the long term, while embracing the possibilities offered by current technologies.
Through these intersections, the Archipel collective offers a committed yet open vision of the contemporary image: a space for transmission, experimentation, and reinvention, where traditions and innovations do not oppose but nourish one another. The reflection is no longer merely what reproduces—it becomes what connects, transforms, and projects.
