How can we mirror ourselves in a portrait: Fab Rideti is known for her portraits, often in commission, of ordinary people in a fairytale like setting or pose. Her use of materials to dress her “models” is using found objects, either plastics on the beach or paper or found costumes. By looking at her work we transform ourselves to the environment where the photos are taken.

Joris Hilterman’s photographs are intense. The people look straight in the camara and by doing so, you can almost feel their emotions. He doesn’t use color and other an old camara to register.

Tineke Kambier followed a dismantling of a home of an older man, Nol, who left after living decades in the same house. In her images you feel the presence of Nol, but also see an interior which is nostalgic. Modern world has not entered yet.
Same for the work by Jenny Owens. She captures in her Traces Series parts of interiors or places where there has been human presence, but this is long ago. There are remains, but the presence you have fill in yourself.

For the portraits drawn by Marc Prat, we see images of mystical creatures. Half animal, half human, invented characters that make you contemplate who you are.
For Alberto Romero he draws the model, often his partner, and similar to Joris Hilterman, you feel the emotions of the person.
