The project explores an intimate void, born of a solitary journey to Valparaíso where physical displacement triggers an inner movement. It questions the fragility of identity when familiar narratives collapse. More than a reflection on loss, it examines existence as a state of perpetual transition, where nothing is fixed. A meditation on the inherent vulnerability of being and the possibility of starting over without guarantees, by inhabiting this movement.
The project explores the experience of inhabiting a void. An intimate void, a space that opens up when certainties lose their shape and meaning is no longer guaranteed.
It stems from a first solo trip to Valparaíso, where physical displacement triggers an inner movement.
It approaches uncertainty as a habitable territory. The fragility of identity when it can no longer rely on familiar narratives, as well as the body’s exposure to time, memory, and the inevitable. The sensation of walking without a clear narrative, without a definitive explanation, relying solely on the experience of the present. It is a reflection on how identity reorganizes itself when something we believed to be essential disappears.
The work does not seek definitive answers, but attempts to capture that almost imperceptible inner movement through which a person learns to live with ambiguity. It stands on the threshold between what is collapsing and what has not yet been named, speaking of transformation not as something epic or dramatic, but as a silent, everyday process.
Rather than simply addressing loss or change, the work explores the human condition as a state of perpetual transition. The awareness that nothing is fixed, that all forms are temporary. It is a reflection on vulnerability as a constitutive dimension of existence, and on the possibility of starting over without certainty, accepting that to exist means passing through zones of darkness with no promise of immediate clarity.
