Espace 157 is cultural project that comes out from Verviers’s Academy of Arts.
While confronting the necessary task of making art in correspondence with the present, there are many ways an artist can achieve in doing so. For example: an opposing view to speed can reveal a selected aspect – or some useful accident – of reality. Felten-Massinger’s “Caravana Obscura” has now become a contemporary art highlight and is very telling: slowing down the picture making process as well – as per se, the picture itself – can be seen as a shrewd answer to the compulsory speed of this era. Thanks to Christine Felten and Véronique Massinger and the bipOFF staff for making it visible again!
