Vi(c)e organique / Topologies d’une crise

Fabrice Sabatier (Saint-Etienne, 1985) is a graphic designer, artist and researcher. He lives and works in Brussels. He graduated from the École supérieure d’art et design de Saint-Etienne (2008) where he founded the graphic design collective .CORP. He is interested in the politics of diagrams, networks, maps dealing with economics and the ideology that these images hide under an impression of rationality.

In practice, he processes data likely to make networks and structures of economic power visible. He is conducting this research in the “Désorceler la finance” laboratory, which he co-founded in 2017, as well as in the context of a thesis in Art and Art Sciences (ERG, ULB and Random-lab / ESADSE) .

Vi(c)e organique (Vi(c)e organic)

Vi(c)e organique (Vi(c)e organic), the piece he presents, is an interactive journey that makes visible an imperceptible form of life, an ecosystem thriving on discretion: lobbying.

The visitor who looks at Vi(c)e organique discovers, observes and interacts with networks of influence flourishing in European institutions around climate issues. These networks are alive, they are constantly recomposed according to the particular problems and the interest (survival instinct) of the organisms which compose them.
